Devil May Cry V Review: An Action Fan's Wet Dream
(c) Capcom |
(c) Capcom |
It went back to its roots and made sure that it delivers all the over the top action that fans loved about the series. It also made sure that the story is not your typical shallow storyline and i definitely love the story of the game that it surely made fans want more of the iconic twins' story.
For first timers of the series this is also a good time to play the game as we also have an auto mode that will easily help newcomers enjoy the game with it's auto targeting and camera will also be troublesome at times but it wont affect the gaming experience. There also three playable characters in the game starting with Nero who is the player that has all the right moves and at times it makes it a difficult chore as your newly introduced devil breaker has it's limits of usage but each of the devil breakers has it's different uses from slowing down time to stunning enemies. He is still armed with his trusty Red Queen and Blue Rose that helps you at your demon hunting.

Moving on to the man who started the series Dante, we are shown to a still cocky but also vulnerable side of the hero. And this is the Dante that many fans missed and adored. Equipped with his signature one liners and the brilliant game changing styles Gunslinger, Royal Guard, Trickster and Sword Master. It might be a little complicated but with a little practice you can enjoy Dante the most and you can also enjoy farming red orbs with the new weapon called Dr. Faust which can also help you eliminate your chances of purchasing orbs online via microtransactions.
(c) Capcom |
The game still features the same old mechanics such as the red orbs to power up your skills and weapons. The gold orbs that can revive your fallen player, although you can buy these via microtransactions, any skilled DMC player wont have a hard time faming these orbs via grinding. Basically this game has been a wonderful ride in the franchise and I would say that Capcom is continuing it's streak of delivering awesome games since Monster Hunter World. And for those who are planning to get this game. Action's amazingly awesome, the combat is accessible and easy to master, the story is fun and a must for DMC fans. This game is a must buy not just for hardcore fans of the franchise but also for those who are new to the series.

Street Fighter 2 Finally Gets It's Recognition In The Video Game Hall Of Fame
Released in 1991, This game was the Godfather of Fighting games that it lead to the boom of Fighting games during the 90s. It was imitated but was never duplicated. It was a unique experience during the 90s. And it made 687 million dollars for the Road Warrior Edition itself and it started a cultural phenomenon and it change the gaming industry forever. It also pioneered the unique command system that requires the player to do a combination of moves together with perfect timing to execute unique special moves for all of the 8 characters available in the game. And now the game is now part of the Video Game Hall Of Fame. It is indeed a well deserved one for being a pioneer and a landmark title in the fighting game department. It will follow the ranks of other landmark titles like Super Mario Bros., The Legend Of Zelda and Doom. A well deserved cheers for this game being part of the Video Game Hall Of Fame Class of 17!

Marvel Overload in Your Small Screens! Not One But Four Titles Hits the Screens!
It is indeed fun to be a comic book fan as several of our favorites will be hitting the small screens and we have not one but four of Marvel's beloved characters are coming to life and who and what are they? Let me help you with that!
1. Cloak and Dagger tells a story of two teens who acquire superpowers and at the same time form a romantic relationship. As for the Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph play Cloak and Dagger respectively. For comic fans this is a dream come true as we see the couple in action. They are one of those characters that are really underrated and by any means we hope that this will be a real good one and hope this lives up to what we comic book fans are waiting for. Cloak and Dagger comes out 2018
2. Runaways is one of the unexpected hits from Marvel years back and when this was announced I was so psyched on how this will be getting a series. Runaways tells the story of kids who became allies to fight a common enemy... their parents. Runaways vs the Pride, this will be one adventure for the books and I loved the comic by Brian K Vaughn so we have high hopes for this one! Runaways comes out 2018!
3. Inhumans is one of those series that I am really anticipating, why? We finally get to see Black Bolt in action together with Medusa, Karnak, Gorgon, Crystal and of course my favorite Maximus the Mad! Hoping to see Lockjaw in it as well! The plot revolves after a military coup and the Royal Family escapes to save the world. Another reason to watch this is Iwan Rheon playing Maximus the Mad and it is the perfect casting choice and another thing to look forward to about this is that the first 2 episodes are shot with IMAX cameras and will be shown on theaters this September!
4. Defenders is another series that is anticipated by Comic Book Fans, with the series revolving around the exploits of Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and the Immortal Iron Fist against the Hand and the trailer shows us the hard hitting action that will make the fans of all the Netflix originals ask for more. All episodes will be available for streaming on Netflix this coming August!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. Review: It is definitely One of 2017's Best!
I am happy to announce that The new Marvel flick Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is definitely on this year's best. The whole crew is back Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Racoon, Drax the Destroyer and (Baby) Groot are here to save the universe and played by the original cast including, Chris Pratt, Zoe Zaldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel who voices Rocket and Groot respectively. James Gunn still helms the director's chair.
The movie tackles about Peter Quill's heritage and his search for father. It all starts with the Guardians helping out the Sovereign Race led by Ayesha (played by Elizabeth Debicki) in fighting an intergalactic monster. All goes well but then Rocket decides to be an steal some batteries and then riot ensures as the Sovereign Race begins to chase the Guardians in an awesome space battle that destroys the Milano and thanks to an unknown powerful being, the Guardians are saved by no less than Ego (played by Kurt Russel) who turns out to be Peter's father. So where does the story go? Does it mean that Quill is leaving the Guardians? Will the family reunion lead to good things? How about the Sovereign Race? You have to see it for yourself.
The movie is full of brilliant one liners and funny quotes that are present from the first film, and the Star-lord, Rocket dynamic has never been this funnier. Yondu (Michael Rooker) who leads the Ravagers also has a very important part to play in this new adventure. Yondu is known to be that hard hitting, bad-ass leader but here he shows a soft side and it will surely make you root for him. Nebula (Karen Gillian) also makes an awesome comeback as we are shown to the very dysfunctional relationship between her, her sister Gamora and their father Thanos. As for Groot, he definitely stole the show, from the opening credits to final fight with the movie's adversary. Groot gave us several laughs and unforgettable moments especially the Ravager Escape Scene. It will surely be remembered by fans of the movie in years. Another fine addition is Mantis (Pom Klementieff) who plays Ego's assistant. She definitely adds another dimension to the growing cast of fun characters and her on screen banter with Drax shines in this film as well. And finally Ego.. fans are asking how come we have a humanlike Ego and not the living planet Ego. Well, comic book fans you are in for a treat, you must see it to believe it. And Kurt Russel played the character well and you will feel that his reunion with Quill is simply one of the best moments in the film. There is also a backstory that will explain why he left. And how he needs to do it.
The movie is also full of easter eggs that fans will surely recognize. Rumors speculating the 5 post credits are also real. Yes it has 5 satisfying post credit scenes and I would suggest you to dust up those old comic books so you can spot and know the who's who of the Guardians of the Galaxy universe. As for my verdict, it is a must watch. If you enjoyed the first movie, then treat yourselves this weekend and bring the whole family with you. It's one hell of a good time and now I am looking forward to the 3rd Volume as James Gunn will still be on the director's chair. And one more thing, awesome mix volume 2 is also an awesome soundtrack! Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 is one complete package and is definitely one of the best in the MCU catalog!
